Quick guide to fitting blinds
Step 1: Unpack Your Blinds
Open the package and lay out all parts. The package will include full pictures with diagrams for reference.
Step 2: Gather Tools
You will need a drill, screws, a screwdriver, a tape measure, a pencil, and a ladder or step stool if necessary.
Step 3: Position the Brackets
- For inside mount: Hold the brackets inside the window recess at the top corners. Mark the screw holes with a pencil.
- For outside mount: Hold the brackets outside the window frame at the desired height and width. Mark the screw holes with a pencil.
Step 4: Drill Pilot Holes
Drill small pilot holes where you marked the screw holes to make it easier to insert the screws.
Step 5: Attach the Brackets
Use screws to attach the brackets to the window recess (inside mount) or wall (outside mount).
Step 6: Install the Blind
Snap the headrail of the blind into the brackets. Make sure it clicks into place securely.
Step 7: Attach the Valance (if included)
If your blinds come with a valance, attach it according to the included diagrams.
Step 8: Test the Blinds
Lower and raise the blinds to ensure they are functioning smoothly.
By following these steps and referring to the included diagrams, you'll have your wooden blinds fitted perfectly in no time.
